I can't recommend Tanya highly enough. A friend of mine was buying a house at the same time as me--similar circumstances, but with a different agency--and her experience was so frustrating compared to mine. It really underscored the value of having an agent who will go the extra mile.
Our process was not straightforward. We were inexperienced and had not done our pre-approval work when we found that perfect house. Tanya started by explaining all the reasons we shouldn't get our hopes too high, because all these things could prevent our getting this house. Then she proceeded to blast through every obstacle. Both she and the lenders she recommended made us feel like we had a whole team working for us. The inspectors she recommended were prompt and thorough. Tanya herself is super easy to communicate with and responded quickly every time I had a concern or needed an explanation.
I'm so grateful we had Tanya's advice for what repairs to push for vs. what we could take care of ourselves. We didn't have the confidence and certainly not the knowledge to negotiate--and she did.

Ryan and I had a rough start in finding me the perfect home. We both learned about the VA codes on a condo really quick. It was heartbreaking to lose what I thought was the perfect home for me and my daughter. However, Ryan didn't give up and he convinced me not to either.
